maureen-02.jpgMaureen Adams, D.V.M.

Dr. Adams was raised in a small town outside San Antonio, Texas. She attended Texas A & M University earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. Dr. Adams then attended The Ohio State University, School of Veterinary Medicine, concentrating on studies in reproductive and internal medicine. She did extensive work at Columbus Zoo in Columbus Ohio both as a docent and a veterinary student. She participated in studies of the big cats, particularly Cheetahs, and that species susceptibility to the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Dr. Adams purchased All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in 1997. Her experience includes the treatment of many species including dogs, cats, horses, llamas, ruminants, pigs, reptiles, birds and pocket pets. Her love and compassion for animals is second to none

brett-1.jpgBrett Zolkos

Technician Staff Brett grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts with an innate love for anything outdoors. Running in a family that included guinea pigs, Australian Shepherds, and a younger brother, he quickly came to appreciate all aspects of animal care. Graduating from Connecticut College in 2008, he moved out west looking for a new adventure, finding it in the form of All Creatures Veterinary Hospital. Both animal and human medicines have quickly become his passion, as he works towards a medical degree. He enjoys hiking, camping, sailing, skiing, and occasionally, rock climbing.

stacy-1.jpgStacy Proctor

Reception Supervisor Stacy is a native Nevadan & graduated from Sparks High School in 1987. Before coming to All Creatures, she never pictured herself working at an animal hospital. After becoming a part of the All Creatures family in November of 2005, she can't imagine doing anything else. Stacy is the proud mother and wife of an incredible family, also including her dogs Belle, Boone, Nala & Poquito and her cat, Lucy. When Stacy is not caring for her family or managing reception at All Creatures she enjoys rafting, camping, cooking and being with her friends.

sandy-1.jpgSandy Lloyd

Kennel Staff Before coming to us Sandy had enjoyed a successful career in Human Resources and Training & Development Management. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Adult Learning and training development. She is married (26 years to the same man), has 3 horses, 6 dogs, and 12 chickens. Her hobbies include training horses and dogs, writing and directing plays and musicals at her church, and gardening.

kelly-1.jpgKelly Brownwell

Bookkeeper Kelly and her husband Gary became clients of All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in 1999 when they rescued a wolf hybrid that had been neglected and, worse, badly abused. Spirit was saved and moved on to a great life. They currently have 1 dog, 4 cats, 1 26+ year old snapping turtle, 1 pot belly pig and one ½ pot belly / ½ wild boar at their house! At their office they have 3 feral-turned-house cats and 5-7 feral cats they care for (if you were a stray, you would find them too!). Kelly began working at ACVH in 2009 as office manager.

sharon-1.jpgSharon Dixon

Support Staff Sharon Dixon was raised in a small ranching community in Northern California. The family purchased a home in the ghost town of Bannack, Montana to spend the summer months as the Chico area can be very hot. The family had a ranch with Arabian horses and Black Angus cattle, sheep, goats, and you name it. Animals and ranching are in her blood. Today Sharon breeds Arabian horses to preserve ancient blood for the future.

She attended Butte College and then Chico State College specializing in the nursing program. After college she worked many positions as a back office/surgery nurse. Many years were spent in OB/Gyn before Sharon moved to Nevada to take a job with the Nevada State Health Division as an analyst. There she assisted placement of foreign doctors, mapped disparities and served the tribal clinics. During this time Sharon was interested in massage therapy and became certified in equine massage.

Sharon is married and has two children but has raised six in addition to her own. She has nine horses, numerous dogs and chickens. Life is full when you share it with grandchildren and pets. Sharon considers it a blessing to serve at All Creatures Vet Hospital as a Kennel assistant.

girl-1.jpgJillian Morris

Kennel Staff Jillian is the newest member of the ACVH team.  Having grown up with all walks of life, from dogs, cats, lizards, pigs, wolves, turtles, fish, and ferrets, she has always had a deep passion and love for animals.  She is currently in school, on her way to becoming a veterinary technician.  “Each day is a new adventure at All Creatures.”  She claims.  “I still can’t believe I get paid to do what I do, which is love the animals.” When she’s not walking or playing with the dogs and cats, she assists where she can in the treatment, reception, and waiting room areas.  She is most certain that the animal world is where she belongs, and is well on her way to achieving her dreams.
